Diese Ausstellung versucht diesen Ort in der Wüste und die Stimmung dort zu vermittlen. Die Künstler kommen alle mit ihren eigen Plänen und haben ihre eigenen Erlebnisse und verarbeiten diese auf ihre eigene Weise, aber in der Gesamtheit bezeugen diese Arbeiten von einem magischen Ort und der Ehrfurcht die die alle dort erfahren.
Patricia Watwood zeigt uns ein stillen Ort und Cedra Wood jedes Detail am Boden. Rachel Harkai erzählt von der Härte des Landes und Markus Guschelbauer ehrt die Pflanzen mit kleinen Gebäuden. Lea Titz findet Gedichte in den Farben und Tracey Cockrell will, dass wir zuhören. Stefan Marb reicht vergeblich in den Himmel.
This exhibition tries to tell about this place in the desert and what you feel there. All the artists are going to the retreat with their own plans and have their own encounters and respond in their own way, but collectivly these works tell a story of a wonderous place and the awe the artists experience.
Patricia Watwood shows us a quiet setting while Cedra Wood focuses on every detail on the ground. Rachel Harkai tells us the story of the harshness there and Markus Guschelbauer builds little spaces to honor plants. Lea Titz finds poetry in the colors and Tracey Cockrell wants us to listen. Stefan Marb reaches in a futile gesture to the sky.

Die Montello Foundation fördert Künstler, Schriftsteller, Komponisten und Filmemacher,die unser Verständnis von der Fragilität der Natur einem weiten Publikum vermittelt.
Unser Hauptprojekt ist eine Künstlerresidenz in einem einsamen Tal in der Wüste in Nevada,eine raue Umgebung, unscheinbar und spektakulär zugleich. Sie hat etwas Sanftes an sich, aber auch die unbarmherzige Kraft der Elemente.Hier, minimale Ablenkungen ermöglichen es einem kognitiven Geist sich auf die Arbeit im Kontext der Gesellschaft zu konzentrieren.
The Montello Foundation supports artists, writers, composers, and filmmakers who communicate our understanding of the fragility of nature to a wide audience.
Our main project is an artist residency in a remote valley in the Nevada desert, a harsh environment, inconspicuous and spectacular at the same time. There is something gentle about it, but also the relentless power of the elements. Here, minimal distractions allow a cognitive mind to focus on the work in the context of society.
