Rasha Ragab (* in Cairo) and Christoph Nicolaus (* in Munich) have been working together as a couple in various media such as performance, video, photography and sound art alongside their individual artistic activities.
Christoph Nicolaus was running the event series Klang im Turm from 2007 to 2015.
Since 2015, the two have been managing Klang im Dach together. In addition to performances of mostly contemporary music, there are also readings, performances and film screenings. The artists invited from all over the world are present each time and perform their works themselves.

What do we expect from art? How much effort are we willing to put into interpretation in order to gain emotional and intellectual benefits from perceiving art? Do we have the courage and even the audacity to determine for ourselves what is art and what is not? … These are the questions that Tommy Schmidt and the interested audience will be asking in order to discover the hidden potential of works and creators.
Tommy Schmidt is a performance, happening and media artist. In Furthermore, he curates the event program ArtPros Talkshows of the Serviceplan Group as well as the event program at the PUTISCH, a sculpture on the grounds of the Werksviertel in Munich, conceived by Tommy Schmidt.

Naumann & Porsch
There are two of them. They don’t need much space. Andreas Porsch and Alex Naumann like to play jazz.
With saxophone, clarinet, flute, trombone, guitar and looper, they are their own little big band. Virtuosity in the smallest of spaces, paired with musical vision – stadium jazz for your pocket, so to speak.
Naumann & Porsch are Biennale-artists in the exhibition by die erste reihe.
